Information
Hey there! Just wanted to give you the lowdown on drywall finishes. There are 6 levels to check out:
**Level 0**: This is where drywall is attached to wooden or steel studs, and you can see the fasteners.
**Level 1**: Similar to Level 0, but here we cover up the seams and fasteners with tape and compound.
**Level 2**: We add a layer of compound to the wall, usually if you're planning to put tiles up.
**Level 3**: This level gets a second layer of compound on the walls and ceilings for a nice, smooth finish.
**Level 4**: We apply a third layer of compound to get everything ready for paint.
**Level 5**: Finally, we give that third layer a skim coat of compound to prep the panels for a glossy enamel paint.
Hope this helps you understand the different levels!
